2006 Aged Care

An independent nursing home/hostel north of Brisbane has installed our e-care residential package, financials and AutumnCare care planning system.

2006 Disability Services

Two organisations providing services to the disabled have installed our e-care client management system to assist with recording client details, staff rostering and funding reporting.

2006 Architectural practice

Brisbane’s leading heritage architectural practice has installed a new HP ML310 server with an Ultrium tape backup unit to meet their growing storage needs. A terminal server is also planned to cater for remote users.

2006 Lighting Retailer

A Brisbane lighting supplier with two remote stores has installed an HP ML310 server and new PCs to upgrade its computing platform. A terminal server provides communication to the two stores over VPN for access to the company’s accounting system.

2006 Carer Respite

The Commonwealth Carer Respite Centre for Brisbane South has recently upgraded their server to an HP ML310 with increased tape backup capacity.

2006 Aged Care

A number of our regional and metropolitan Aged Care customers have installed new HP servers as well as updating their residential software to our new e-care product.

2006 Helpdesk Services - Not for profit sector

Datacare was selected to provide helpdesk services to not for profit organisations wishing to implement the Standard Chart of Accounts (SCOA) developed by QUT. This is part of the Community Bookkeeper Project under the Strengthening NGOs initiative by the Qld Government

2006 Hairdressing Products

Datacare has assisted a Brisbane based supplier of hairdressing products to update their computer network by installing two new HP servers and a number of new PCs. One server provides file and print functions while the other supports their MYOB accounting under terminal services.

2006 Churches

A number of large Churches in the Brisbane area have updated their networks by installing new servers from HP or IBM as well as contracts to provide support services.

2006 Aged and Community Care

Queensland’s largest provider of aged and community care services has signed a new contract to provide support services for their client management systems developed by Datacare. The three core applications cover residential clients and billing, in home nursing and centre-based respite.

2006 Fire Services

A company providing maintenance of sprinkler and other fire protection systems has updated their network by the installation of a new HP ML310 server. A terminal server is also manages access from their remote office.

2006 Christian Products Distributor

A leading Australian distributor of Christian products has updated their infrastructure by installing an new HP server running Windows Small Business Server 2003 to replace their previous Windows desktop network. SBS will provide a more secure environment to handle their invoicing and stock systems as well as manage email and access to the Internet.

2006 Travel Agent

A leading franchisee has upgraded their IT platform by installing an HP ML350 server, HP PCs and Thin clients to access the Galileo Travel Reservation system.

2005 Aged Care

A regional aged care facility has installed an HP ML110 server and 11 new desktop PCs to run its accounting and admin functions. The site has been using Datacare’s Aged Care software for many years and the new hardware will improve performance and provide new benefits such as email management using Microsoft Exchange.

2005 Cleaning Industry

A leading Queensland supplier of cleaning chemicals and equipment has upgraded their computers systems to include an HP ML110 server and HP desktops to support its sales and admin functions. A VPN was also established for remote access.

2005 Timber Joinery

One of Queensland’s leading manufacturers of timber windows and doors has upgraded their IT infrastructure and now operates four HP servers at their Head Office using Microsoft Windows Server 2003. Two of the servers run MS Terminals Services to support 3 remote locations over VPN’s.

2005 Youth Services

A Statewide youth services organisation has updated their Head Office server to a HP ML350 running Microsoft Windows SBS 2003 Premium. Also included in the upgrade is an improved tape backup system using Ultrium technology to increase storage capacity while drastically reducing backup time.

2005 Community Centres

Datacare has assisted a number of suburban community centres to update their computer facilities to support their administrative duties.

2005 Linen Service

One of Brisbane’s leading linen service companies have upgraded their IT infrastructure to include a new HP ML350 server and HP dx2000 desktop computers. The system also includes remote access by VPN.

2005 Fire Services

A Brisbane based company providing fire protection systems to the mining, petrochemical and aviation industries as well as other commercial and industrial applications has upgraded their IT systems by installation of a new HP server and desktop computers.

2004 Real Estate

The operations of a Western Suburbs Real Estate office are running smoother with the installation of a new server running Microsoft Windows 2003 Small Business Server.

2004 Data Centre

A large community care organisation has recently ordered new Hewlett Packard equipment to upgrade their Data Centre facilities. The order consisted of 34 Blade servers most running Citrix, 8 high end servers for SQL applications, SAN with 2.5TB of storage, tape backup library and network switches.

2004 ADSL Rollout

A state wide community care organisation has upgraded from ISDN to ADSL for each of their locations. Datacare staff visited each of the 250 sites installing new switches and reconfiguring for broadband.

2003/2004 GisMOW

A state wide community group required a system to record all clients, rosters, menus and provide appropriate reporting and HACC MDS statistics. Datacare’s software development team in conjunction with our customer developed a system which is now being rolled out to Queensland centres.

2004 ADSL Upgrade

A company with two remote locations have dramatically reduced their communication costs by replacing their existing ISDN links with broadband while increasing connection speed.

Datacare has become involved in supporting a number of community organisations who assist the elderly or infirmed with home improvements and security to allow them to stay in their familiar environment.
